Hidden within the Golden Mall food court, LaoMa Spicy serves really affordable Sichuan cuisine. For $15/lbs, you can create your own dry pot, stir-fry pot, or mala tang. You can either create your own or choose from their preselect menu. And then you choose your spicy level. If you do the make-your-own, you essentially fill up a steel bowl with whatever ingredients they have available. After you pay, they give the bowl to the chef and moments later the output is whatever you placed. For sure great for a cold winter day.

Perfect spice and flavor of authentic Sichuanese cuisine. There are so many options of fresh ingredients and spice level can be requested. Definitely a great stop if you're craving spicy food.

Craving authentic Asian food? Then you deff need to stop by Golden Flushing Mall food court with plenty of options for a STEAL I stopped at Laoma Spicy and the name is correct lol. I didn't know what to choose so I got a preselected meal with fresh prawns and a spicy soup base. Everything was super fresh and it was actually really hot but and I loved every second of it. I was also super impressed with how much you received in one serving. For under $20 I had enough to eat 3 times (including the first day) and it was super filling and really warms you up. I can see this being perfect on cold winter days. Although I got the soup base you can also try it pan fried. Next up was Ginza Don. I got the teriyaki combo with pork, chicken and soup as well as a side of shrimp tempura . I loved that you see your food prepared fresh in front of you and they seasoned everything super well. This was another with great portion sizes and deff worth a shot Thank you to everyone at Golden Flushing Mall. So if you watch any K-dramas this place doesn't disappoint. It's tiny and there's like 3 different vendors inside. Literally everything is in Korean! I had to point at things in the menu to tell them what I wanted. The food had such a good flavor! Authentic for sure!
